When it comes to the topic of sneaker related crimes, we’ve become all too accustomed to the news about robberies and violence. But, once in awhile, you get a story that doesn’t involve anyone being overtly assaulted, yet still manages to fit the description.
While walking down a pedestrian crossing in Arizona, an eighteen-year-old male was stopped for inspection. This is when it was discovered his “Carpe Diem” Kobe 11’s were, in fact, being used to sneak in over $20,000 worth of heroin. The drugs were manipulated and packaged so that they fit in like insoles. Granted, attempts to get some drugs across the border via shoes isn’t necessarily anything new. In fact, this isn’t even close to the amount of drugs some others had stuffed into their shoes. Nonetheless, the stories are always worth mentioning.

Beyoncé clearly knows how to get the world in “Formation.” She’s done such a great job at that, in fact, that her “Formation World Tour” has grossed more than $210 million, and she’s not done yet.
Billboard reports that Queen Bey’s global run on the “Formation World Tour” has generated that whopping figure by selling more than 1.8 million tickets for 40 performances with nine more to go.
The tour has gone through North America and, more recently, through Europe, where she performed 17 shows at 16 venues, generating $86.9 million in box office sales.
That leg of the tour led to some milestones. Her two-day extravaganza at London’s Wembley Stadium, for instance, drew 142,500 members of the BeyHive on July 2 and 3, earning $15.3 million. That’s the sixth-highest gross of the year for an artist of any genre, according to the report.
The Euro run also featured the best-attended show of the “Formation Tour.” That distinction went to Stade de France in Paris where a total of 75,106 tickets were sold. The second best-attended show was the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, Calif., where 55,736 tickets were copped.
Revenue from the European stretch of the tour also earned Beyoncé the No. 1 slot on this week’s Billboard tally of “Hot Tours.”
Now, ‘Yoncé takes a brief pause before launching the second U.S. leg on Sept. 7 at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey. The nine-city trek will take Queen Bey across the country once again, capping things off Oct. 2 in Nashville.
Friday [August 12], rapper Lil Bibby responded to rumors that his chain was stolen after a grainy video of men allegedly fighting over his jewels has gone viral. The clip shows the beginning of the brawl during G-Herbo and Bibby’s show Thursday night [Aug. 11], where Bibby is seen handing his chains to a member of his team when all hell broke loose. As complete pandemonium erupted, the shaky camera only caught a glimpse of the fight, another female fan trying to take a selfie with G-Herbo, and ultimately G-Herbo smacking the camera out of the cameraman’s hands.
Though there were rumors that the Chicago rapper became a victim of a recent chain snatching, he denied the rumors on his Instagram page by showing his two bright pieces around his neck, safe in his possession.

Troy Ave’s grind doesn’t stop.
In the midst of his ongoing legal drama surrounding the May shooting incident that left him injured and charged with attempted murder, the BSB spitter unleashes an album that pulls its title from his government name: Roland Collins.
Troy uses the 10-track project to address his case. “I am innocent,” he raps. “Why the hell they acting like I did it? / Only family and beautiful women see me on visits / And I never miss one / And I miss my two sons.”
Earlier this month, Ave sued Live Nation and Irving Plaza, claiming that the venue was at fault for the infamous shooting after an alleged security breach.
Troy is out on $500,000 bond and still faces the attempted murder charge for his role in the incident.
