Jeweler Explains How James Harden Copped His Teammate A $30K Chain

Friends like James Harden don’t often just come along.

Harden was recently out shopping with Montrezl Harrell, when they decided to dip into a jewelry store to look at some chains. According to store owner Boodaddy Diamonds, who is a famous jeweler around celebrity circles, it wasn’t so much Harden who was looking to chip anything off of his $28.3 million salary, but rather, Harrell. The second year power forward reportedly had his eye on a weighty Cuban link piece, but didn’t have the money on him at the moment. Little did he know the chain was going home with him one way or another.

When Harrell walked away, Harden asked Boodaddy to bag it up for him, throwing down a $30,000 stack on the spot.

Morris Chestnut’s Big Break!

Even the handsome Morris Chestnut had to start somewhere!

In 1991, Boyz n the Hood made its debut, and Morris Chestnut played Ricky Baker. At the time, Morris Chestnut had no idea how big the movie would become.

This was Morris’ big break and it became an inspirational movie people still look to today. His big break helped land him roles in movies like When the Bough Breaks, Heist, and Think Like a Man.

Morris’ most notable TV shows include Rosewood, Nurse Jackie, and Legends.

Morris can now add author to his credits. He recently told Wendy about his new book, “The Cut: How to Lose Up to 10 Pounds in 10 Days and Sculpt Your Best Body Book”.

4 Things You Should Know Before Graduation

You did it. You’re finally done! You graduated, which means your days of five hour naps, partying all night long, and doing whatever you might please is a thing of the past.

Don’t hate; we’re giving it to you straight, no chaser.

Listen, life after graduation is not as terrible as the people who are pissed off at the world lead on. It’s not easy either. It’s a new chapter in your life. Expect changes, and even some culture shock after being in college for four years.

Female with Now What Sign

To give you a heads up on what to expect, here’s what we wish we knew before we graduated.

Jobs, Find your career

Focus on Your Career

First thing first; you went to college to make a career for yourself. Now is not the time to enjoy life without classes, exams, and midterms. You need to hustle and reach out to your network, build your resume, and interview like it’s your job until you find a job. It’s that simple. Get a move on, because you’ll soon realize it’s not as easy as landing that internship in college. As Wendy says, “How can you get anywhere if you’re standing still?”

Interview In Progress

Be Open to Different Jobs

“You assume the devil you know is better than the devil you don’t. I don’t believe that,” Wendy advises. “You always have choices.” If there is one thing our guests at Wendy taught us, it’s that your big break is a result of a series of little breaks. Let’s say you don’t land your dream job, but you were offered another job that will teach you a new skill. Go for it! If it’s taking you a while to find a job, do something that will keep the cash flowing. Hopefully that placeholder job will improve your resume or your skill set.

Be Frugal

It’s time to face the fact that you will not be able to run to Mommy and Daddy for every little thing anymore. Be that as it may, if Ma and Pa are willing to let you live at home, take advantage of it. There is no shame in living at home after you graduate! There is this stigma that as soon as you graduate, you need to have it all together. Part of that is true, but it’s all about the journey. Save up while you’re at home and make moves towards becoming your own source of income in a big way. This means you can’t spend your entire paycheck on a weekend of partying, or that new bag you want. You need to start saving for the important stuff. Adults are able to see the larger picture in life. So, act like an adult, ‘cause you are one!

Love Yourself

These are your selfish years. Before you know it, you’ll be looking back at your 20’s thinking, “I should’ve focused on me more.” How can you do that when you are spending all of your time in a committed relationship? Relationships are great, but they shouldn’t come before your career. Your happiness is the key to all of your success. If you aren’t happy with yourself, certain aspects of your life will suffer. If you thought you learned a lot about yourself in college, just wait until you hit the real world. Find yourself and love that person more than anyone else in this world. Don’t make excuses for putting yourself first. If there’s anytime in life that you can be selfish, it’s now.

RHOA RECAP: Truth Revealed!

“You’re repeating what someone told you; that does not make it true.” Phaedra explained to Kandi last week. She should take her own advice. Porsha dropped a bomb on everyone in last week’s reunion when she claimed it was Phaedra who whispered that Kandi and Todd wanted to drug Porsha and take advantage of her.

Grab a snack, preferably popcorn, because the final reunion is about to get messy AF.

Phaedra remained stone faced for a few moments after Porsha revealed she was the source of information. At last, Phaedra said she wasn’t the one who started that rumor; she was just repeating information that was told to her. That was confusing for Porsha, considering she and Phaedra had a phone call two days ago and Phaedra assured her Kandi told her this information.

When Porsha realized Phaedra might have set her up, she became hysterical. Porsha exclaimed she would have never went to Kandi with that information if Phaedra told her it was from another person.

Kenya and Todd had no remorse for Porsha’s tears.

Phaedra continued to cover herself by insisting she never told Porsha that information came directly from Kandi, and that someone else told her.

Fed up, Porsha left the couch.

With Porsha gone, Kandi and Phaedra had an opportunity to straighten out the story. Kandi was shocked that Phaedra would say something like this, knowing Phaedra is aware how she is against drugs. She even looked to her in Hawaii when Kandi and Porsha were arguing about the accusations.

Phaedra had nothing to say.

Porsha came back to the couch and reminded Phaedra that she asked about Kandi’s alleged plan multiple times. Every time it was discussed, Phaedra apparently said the words left Kandi’s mouth. Today, Phaedra contends that isn’t the case. Andy asked Phaedra why she did this at all.

Again, Phaedra threw her hands up and said nothing.

Andy questioned Phaedra again, if that’s the case why she would repeat it. Phaedra put it simply: she heard it and repeated it. At this point, Kandi is upset with more than just the accusation. She is upset that the accusation hurt her brand and her image. Kandi was accused of essentially being a rapist.

This is defamation at its core.

Kandi can’t handle anymore and leaves the couch. Everyone, including Andy, follows suit and takes a break.

Todd tried to soothe Kandi, because she wanted to punch everyone. Porsha had her sister backstage to console her over Phaedra’s betrayal. Cynthia and Shereè are just confused. Kenya spoke on the phone with her friend Brandon about how Porsha and Phaedra are liars. As for Phaedra, she sat alone and got touch ups.

Porsha had a one on one with Andy, and expressed she felt set up and feels bad for Kandi.

Andy made his way over to Kandi and admitted he was in complete shock.

Eventually, Phaedra shuffled on over to Porsha. All she could say was “I’m sorry.” This is the first time Phaedra admits any sort of guilt for what went down. She admitted she screwed up, which is essentially her admitting that she lied to Porsha.

Everyone made their way back to the couch, in hopes to get answers.

The first order of business was to get the truth from Phaedra. Andy questioned if Phaedra felt comfortable, as an attorney, spewing this information as fact. Phaedra thought on it and eventually revealed she made a “rash decision.”

Eventually, Phaedra tried to put another spin on the story to turn it in her favor. Phaedra looked at Porsha in the eyes and hinted that Porsha heard her. Before she could finish, Porsha begrudgingly told Phaedra that she doesn’t want to pull out texts between her and Phaedra. Porsha disclosed three instances Phaedra told her about Kandi as if it was first hand information.

The first time was the day before Porsha met with Kandi in the restaurant.

The second time was a couple weeks before the reunion.

The third time was two days before the reunion.

Phaedra’s newest spin on the story is if Porsha recalls she told the Kandi story as if it was first hand info from Kandi, she has no other choice but to say she did it. “I’m saying yes, Porsha.” Phaedra apologized to Kandi.

Kenya brought up other accusations made about Kandi, including Todd’s alleged pseudo name “Marvin” for when he was cheating on Kandi in New York. Porsha turned to Phaedra, and taunted her about the Marvin thing.

Phaedra revealed she said that as well.

Kandi exposed how flawed that Marvin lie was by sharing Todd hasn’t felt right about going to New York since his Mom passed away. He never went without Kandi by his side for support.

Andy speculated that Phaedra isn’t telling the truth. Of course, Phaedra said she is. Andy clapped back declaring her claims wouldn’t hold up in a court of law, and she agreed they wouldn’t.

Cynthia is shocked that this went as far as it did. “There’s always a moment where you could take it back,” Cynthia mentioned. Andy clapped back once more, pointing out the restoration would have been the perfect time for Phaedra to come clean.

Yaaassss Andy; Yas!

Porsha took a moment to directly apologize to Kandi for the whole situation. Kandi is still angry with Porsha for believing, and repeating the information. Kandi wondered if Porsha actually believed it, or if she tried to cut her deep. Porsha protested it was not done to hurt Kandi.

Todd took a moment to speak. He admitted that he came in with a group of guys, and now he’s the last one standing. It’s difficult to be the only hubby in the group. He feels the girls are trying to tear down the last guy in the mix. He simply wants the women to speak the truth.

Now, it’s time to get answers to the details of Kandi and Phaedra’s relationship, or lack there of.

The steps Phaedra went through to get justice for Johnnie surprised Kandi. To Kandi, it seemed as if Phaedra wanted to hurt her pockets. Kandi blurted out Johnnie is suing her for $168,000 in unpaid overtime. Kandi maintained she paid Johnnie the amount they agreed to. Andy asked Phaedra if she wished she hadn’t gone to those meetings with Johnnie.

Big surprise, Phaedra had nothing to say on that.

Phaedra argued that if the roles were reversed, she wouldn’t be upset with Kandi. Immediately, Kandi called b.s. Kandi thinks if she had Angela Stanton, the woman who wrote “Lies of a Real Housewife: Tell the Truth and Shame the Devil,” sitting in her office asking her to help promote the book on the show, she would be livid. Phaedra assured Kandi none of it matters anyway, because she sued Angela and won. Kandi was confused at what case she won, because the book is still out there. Phaedra said it shouldn’t be.

Phaedra is irritated by a lot of things Kandi did on camera, especially talking about her and “chocolate melting in her mouth” when she “wasn’t dating anyone.” Kandi, annoyed, warned that she doesn’t want to run Phaedra all the way down on this show. Phaedra and Kandi argued about Phaedra’s alleged relationships while still married to Apollo, but Kandi eventually dismissed the whole thing because she didn’t “want to go there” with Phaedra.

Andy would have wrapped up the reunion by asking if there was any hope for a friendship between Kandi and Phaedra, but it didn’t seem like there was any. Instead, he tried to figure out what was going on in Phaedra’s mind. Phaedra copped to the fact that she didn’t think the reunion would go down like this. Kandi interjected that her answer translates to “she would’ve just let [the lie] keep going.” Phaedra disagreed, but Andy objected. Phaedra did let it go up until tonight. In Phaedra’s eyes, there is nothing more to do at this point.

Andy sent the Real Housewives of Atlanta out with a 50th birthday cake for Cynthia Bailey. It was only appropriate that the candles on the cake were trick candles, because of all the tricks this season.

Let them eat cake.

We’ll catch you when season 10 of The Real Housewives of Atlanta starts!

Big Sean Performs ‘Jump Out the Window’ at MTV Movie & TV Awards

Fresh off his “I Decided.” Tour, Big Sean lit up the stage at the 2017 MTV Movie & TV Awards on Sunday (May 7). Live from the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, Sean Don performed his newest single “Jump Out the Window” off his chart-topping fourth album.

Standing atop a projection screen made to look like an apartment building, Sean rapped and sang along to the I Decided. track as Rebel Wilson and Moonlight actors Ashton Sanders and Jharrel Jerome danced in the audience. He descended onto the stage to cap things off, while five female dancers struck a pose atop the screen.

The Detroit MC wasn’t the only performer. Sunday’s show also featured sets from Pitbull, J Balvin, and Camila Cabello (“Hey Ma”), as well as Noah Cyrus (“Stay Together”).

Earlier in the evening, a dapper Sean hit the carpet in a Dior Homme suit with his hot date, Jhené Aiko. The couple wasn’t afraid to show PDA as they posed for photographers.

It’s been a busy weekend for Sean Don. On Friday, he debuted the powerful video for the Jeremih-assisted “Light” and co-headlined Power 106’s Powerhouse on Saturday alongside Lil Wayne.

Logic Announces Final Album ‘Ultra 85’

Logic’s Everybody is filed with hidden rhymes and messages for die-hards to interpret. One of those comes in the announcement of his next (and possibly last) album, Ultra 85.

In the 44-page booklet for the album’s limited edition version, Logic explains that one must decipher a letter he wrote by reading every eighth and fifth word.

Once decoded — as a fan on reddit proved — the message reads: “For the real fans reading this hidden message, my next album will be called Ultra 85, and it will be the conclusion to this saga.”

The album cover also features hidden clues about Ultra 85. The two billiard balls, for instance, are the 8 and the 5. A Rubik’s Cube in the artwork is also meant to highlight shapes that read: “U-8-5.”

This is insane! How did we not notice this! Ultra 85 is gonna be hype!!! #RattPack #Logic301 #Logic #Everybody #ultra85

A post shared by Daily Logic Facts! (@logicfactsdaily) on May 6, 2017 at 2:28pm PDT

Not only will it end this saga, which started in 2014 with Under Pressure and continued in 2015 with The Incredible True Story, but it may also mark the ending of Logic’s rap career.

“It’s going to be the story to end all stories, including my own,” he recently told Genius. “And then I’ma go fucking act and get this money. Shit. Or I’m just going to be a husband, take care of my puppies, have some fucking kids, and just enjoy life.”

Meanwhile, Logic’s latest album Everybody is set to debut at No. 1 on next week’s Billboard 200 with 225-240,000 equivalent album units.

Lil Wayne Takes Photos with Birdman’s Children

Lil Wayne’s Birdman beef doesn’t seem to extend to the Cash Money CEO’s family. On Friday (May 5), Baby shared photos of Tunechi posing with his two children.

Both images were captioned: “#4L #BLOODLOVE.”

Some have speculated that Birdman may have been in the room when these photos were taken, but there’s no evidence to support that.

This comes at a time of major discord between Baby and Wayne, once deemed a father and son duo. In fact, Tunechi has been vocal about his disdain for his longtime label in recent months. Just last month, for instance, Wayne claimed to be a part of Jay Z’s Roc Nation imprint, though that seems to be an unofficial alliance.

In December, Tunechi also said: “Fuck Cash Money in they ass.” Plus, they are still embroiled in a $51 million lawsuit.

When asked about their relationship in October, and whether he still views Birdman as a father, Wayne replied: “His name isn’t Carter, baby. He’s not family.”

Despite the legal woes and dissension, Wayne has remained busy. He’s been on his “Kloser 2 U Tour,” which closes on May 11 in Detroit, he performed at Rolling Loud in Miami on Friday, and at Powerhouse in San Bernardino on Saturday.

Karrueche Tran to Testify Against Chris Brown in Court

Karrueche Tran is reportedly prepared to testify against Chris Brown in the restraining order case that she filed against the “Party” singer earlier this year.

According to TMZ, the model-actress is set to testify that Brown “punched” her in the stomach, “kicked” her down a flight of steps, and threatened to kill and shoot her. Past reports indicate that this would have taken place while Brown was on probation for assaulting Rihanna.

Tran tried and failed to serve Brown with the restraining order for two months before finally serving him with the legal docs after his birthday party this past week.

Sources say Tran is trying to be an inspiration for other women who are in similar relationships. According to them, it’s taken Karrueche a long time to reach this point, but death threats made her more open to speaking out.

Rihanna reportedly did not cooperate with authorities in her 2009 case. Following a plea from Chris, the “Work” singer was not asked to testify.

Karrueche has not spoken publicly about testifying in the case.

Nicki Minaj Pays Fans’ Tuition & Student Loans

Nicki Minaj is a generous queen. Just ask her fans.

After launching her “Regret in Your Tears” challenge — for which winners will fly out to be with her at the Billboard Music Awards — a fan posed a challenge of his own for Nicki: “Well you wanna pay for my tuition?”

Minaj, who attended New York’s La Guardia High School, was game. “Show me straight A’s that I can verify w/ur school and I’ll pay it,” she replied. “Who wants to join THAT contest?!?!Dead serious. Shld I set it up?”

Almost instantly, fan requests poured in, and the “Light My Body Up” star delivered. When one fan asked for $1,000, she replied: “That’s it? I’ll send it tmrw. dm me ur bank info babe. Next!” Another needed $500 for books, and another asked for $800 for courses and books. “Done,” Nicki wrote. “Dm ur bank info.”

Members of Nicki’s “Kingdom” sent pleas for student loan repayments as well. One said he owed over $1,100. “Send me ur info,” she wrote back. “I’ll pay it.”

This continued for about an hour as inquiries for a portion of tuition, books, supplies, and a $2,000 Wacom tablet came in. The latter was the final winner. “Ok you’re the last one for the night,” she replied. “Dm ur info.”

But there’s more to come. “Ok u guys. It’s been fun,” said Nicki. “Let me make those payments tmrw then see if I have any money left [laughing emoji]. I’ll do some more in a month or 2.”
