Big Sean Talks Jhené Aiko, Kendrick Lamar, & Suicidal Thoughts on ‘The Breakfast Club’

Hot off the release of I Decided., Big Sean opeed up about the album during an interview with “The Breakfast Club.”

One of the tracks Sean Don spoke about was “Sunday Morning Jetpack,” in which he raps about girls who were always jealous of him and Jhené Aiko.

“People used to always be like, ‘What’s up with you and Jhené?’” he recalls, admitting that he took a liking to his collaborator long before they got together. “There’s always been feelings for her, just to keep it honest. She’s a great person.”

Aiko, of course, was married to producer Dot Da Genius before her relationship with Sean became public last year. Asked whether he’s afraid of a potential problem with Dot, the Detroit spitter responded confidently. “No,” he said. “No way. I’m not afraid of no confrontation.”

During the interview, Sean also addressed a line about suicidal thoughts on “Voices in My Head/Stick to the Plan.” “Voices in my head attacking what I’m thinking,” he raps. “Bullet to the head might be the way to free it.”

“I go through real shit all the time,” he explained, admitting that he’s struggled with suicidal thoughts in the past. “I’m not saying I was going to do it. I’m saying I thought about it…God got me through that point. My family got me through that point. Unconditional love is more important than anything. That’s something money can’t buy.”

Elsewhere during the 34-minute conversation, Sean said he didn’t feel like Kendrick Lamar’s “Control” verse was better than his and that he feels he’s the best rapper out. He also talked about working with Eminem, how he got a Roc-A-Fella chain from Jay Z, and what he’s up to with Metro Boomin. See highlights from the Q&A below.

On Kendrick Lamar having a better “Control” verse: “No he didn’t. Stop it. Stop it. How long ago was that? What year is this? And I still don’t feel like I got washed anyway, ni**a.”

On Eminem: “It was refreshing to hear him. He brought a whole new style to his catalog, to the rap game, how he was describing all that stuff.”

On his new Roc-a-Fella chain: “Hov said he made it for me. I never thought I’d have a Roc-A-Fella chain, to keep it real. It was always one of those things, growing up, you want a Roc-A-Fella chain. It was the most iconic chain to me, growing up…But the Roc-A-Fella chain was second to none. I was having a conversation with him about it…Then, all of a sudden he hit me and was like, ‘What size you want? The full size or the mid size?’ I’m like, ‘Full size!’ Anyway, he gave it to me. Hit me and was like, ‘Go pick it up from the jeweler.’ He said, ‘You earned it, man.’”

On confidence: “Every time I step into that booth, I feel like I’m the best rapper. I feel like I’m the best at what I do. Ni**a, this 2017. This the time for all of us to feel like we’re the best at what we do.”

On Metro Boomin: “I was just talking to Metro like, ‘We might have to do a whole project or something.”

On Migos: “I got love for the Migos. Anybody who keeping it raw and not giving a fuck about what people saying, just doing their thing, I got respect for. I remember when I met them, I remember Quavo talking about, ‘You one of the ones we look up to. You one of our OGs.’ I’m sitting there thinking, ‘I’m probably like two years older.’ But when I came in the game, I was 19.”

DJ Khaled Announces New Album ‘Grateful’

DJ Khaled is Grateful.

Sporting a pink suit and matching Air Jordans, the Major Key holder announced the name of his 10th album during a press conference at the Beverly Hills Hotel on Thursday (Feb. 9).

“The title is Grateful,” said Khaled, who was joined by his wife and son Asahd. “This title means so much to me. Especially coming off Major Key and seeing that love…The message here today is love. Love is the key and love is the answer.”

The star-studded event was attended by some of Khaled’s famous friends including Busta Rhymes, Kent Jones, and Chance the Rapper, who opened with a few words about the hip-hop mogul.

“Today is historic,” said Chance. “That’s why you’re all here. I’m here to celebrate and stand in solidarity with a man who’s done historic things time and time again.”

Khaled would later reveal that he and Chance are “up to something” that’s naturally “top secret.”

Fresh from knee surgery, a recovering Diddy spoke about Khaled with his sons Christian and Justin by his side. “It’s an honor to be here,” he said. “It’s an honor to acknowledge what this man has been able to accomplish.”

Jamie Foxx, who was originally expected to attend, offered praise for Khaled in an opening video statement. “If you look at the amount of years and the amount of hits he has,” he said. “That’s something that is rare in today’s world where the terrain of music changes so fast.”

Last year, Khaled unleashed his chart-topping ninth album Major Key, which is up for a Best Rap Album at the Grammys on Sunday (Feb. 12).

While collaborations have yet to be confirmed, Khaled has been in the studio with Chance, Travis Scott, Mariah Carey, Bryson Tiller, Future, Alicia Keys, and more. Grateful will be executive produced by Khaled’s infant son, Asahd.

Sheriff Given 24-Day Suspension without Pay for Racist Obama Post on Facebook

A sheriff’s deputy in Catlettsburg, Kentucky received the harshest punishment the Boyd County Sheriff’s Department’s discipline policy allows, when he was recently suspended for derogatory remarks he made about President Barack and former First Lady Michelle Obama on social media, it was reported on Tuesday [Feb. 7].

Members of the public have expressed outrage over the extent of the repercussions the unnamed deputy is facing. By the policy’s guidelines, the deputy has been ordered to be absent for 24 days without pay. He has been off the job since January 25, meaning he is nearly half way through the suspension.

“THAT MUSLIM HOLLER MONKEY HAS BEEN EVICTED….NOW HIM AND HIS SHEMALE NEED TO GET GONE,” the deputy was discovered to have written on Facebook when witnesses reported the post to local authorities, and he was pressured to take it down. Boyd County public advocacy lawyer, Brian Hewlett, went public to denounce the deputy’s actions in the days that followed, stating he was “saddened and deeply troubled” by the incident.

We Cannot Live without These Bald Celebs!

By Joanne Rosa

Bald men, worry no more! We have GOOD news! We also have some bad news, but first the good.

If you shave your head, you will be seen as more attractive. Albert E. Mannes of the University of Pennsylvania wrote a paper, “Shorn Scalps and Perceptions of Male Dominance.” He conducted a few studies on the impression bald men have on those around them.

The studies concluded bald men were perceived as not only more dominant, but also stronger, and taller than their hairy counterparts. “An undeniable truth of the human condition is that appearances matter… [People] make inferences about personality based on one’s appearance,” said Mannes.

Yup; if pop culture taught us anything, it’s that looks matter, a lot.

The bad news is that the study found shaved heads add almost four years to one’s appearance. Honestly, this seems like a small price to pay to get the benefits that come with a shaved head.

To prove Mannes’ point, here are some sexy bald celebrities that we love.

Michael Jordon

How could this basketball legend NOT make our list? We may not like sports, but we aren’t blind.

The Rock and Vin Diesel

Despite the rumors of the recent feud between these two on the set of their new movie, “Fate of the Furious,” there is no denying that they look amazing on the big screen together. Check out the trailer!

We would have the time of our lives getting to know Mr. Worldwide!

Bruce Willis

Bruce has been rocking the shaved head for some time now, and it’s workin’ for him. We fell in love with him when he had hair on Moonlighting, and loved his edgy shaved head look in Die Hard. He can save us from distress any day.

LL Cool J

For Wendy, LL Cool J is the G.O.A.T. when it comes to Hip Hop. He can rap, act and he looks fine doin’ it too!

Taye Diggs

Taraji P. Henson handpicked Taye to be on Empire, and we totally get it. Yaaaaaaas Taye, yas! He always makes the ladies scream whenever he hits the Wendy couch.

Morris Chestnut

After Morris shaved his head for a movie, he decided to keep the baldhead look. Good decision. Watch the crowd go wild over his appearance here!

Conor McGregor Shows Skills In Sparring Video Posted to Instagram

Conor McGregor’s training camp is going to have to be second to none regarding its ability to condition him and sharpen his skills if he is going to compete at the level of the world’s best boxer. A few snippets of him training for a possible showdown with Floyd Mayweather Jr. have leaked in the months since he obtained a boxing license in California, and on Wednesday, February 8, he exhibited his progress with a sparring video he posted to social media.

In the Instagram video, McGregor can be seen going downstairs and back upstairs with an assortment of shots to the body and head of his partner. In between, he shows flashes of quickness and swift reflexes as he dodges and blocks shots coming in at the head area. His footwork looks to need considerable improvement, and there are clearly some flaws in his fundamentals, specifically concerning his open defense and habit of lunging into his punches. But fans who’ve seen him scrap and know his striking ability might gain some confidence in his ability to put up a fight if he can turn some of his flaws around; especially if he can take a punch.

McGregor is a 3 division champ in the UFC and has scored 18 knockouts in 24 fights. But there is question as to the true pedigree of his competition, considering he only had one official amateur contest before his four-year run in the company. Floyd Mayweather, on the other hand, was a U.S. Olympian and decorated amateur before starting on his two-decade long journey towards a perfect 49 wins without a loss.
