Future and Giorgio Armani Team Up in GQ Style

What do you get when you put Future and Giorgio Armani in a new Bugatti? That’s precisely what GQ Style reveals in its second issue ever.

Future, Armani, and Bugatti have some bonds. After all, Future has a 2013 hit named “Bugatti” and Armani just designed a line of clothing with Bugatti. But their connection goes even further, according to the legendary designer.

“I know how much [Future] suffers to be where he is,” said the 82-year-old. “He’s suffered just like I’ve suffered. So…we’re friends in a way.”

Future concurs. “He’s seen all kinds of artists over the years. He can basically just look at you and tell,” he added. “Sometimes I get nervous about being accepted by people like him, because you never know. But some way my walk of life and his walk of life have connected.”

This meeting of the minds will no doubt inspire new music, according to the prolific Freebandz boss. “My music like a diary,” he explained. “I use every experience. He’s the top designer in the world. I’m the top rapper in the world. Some hits are going to come from this experience for sure.”

The photos, shot at Armani’s home in Milan, show Future styling in custom designs from Armani’s capsule collection with Bugatti while standing in front of a shiny black Bugatti Chiron, priced at $2.6 million. Their friendship is also seen in a black-and-white photo where they are locked, arm in arm, as they walk. In another flick, they share matching smiles in shades.

Tyga Issued Arrest Warrant for Not Showing Up to Court

Tyga could be facing jail time.

The former Cash Money rapper failed to appear in court on Tuesday (Aug. 9), where he was scheduled to address financial concerns from a former landlord who claims he owes him $480,000. Due to the no-show, the judge has issued a bench warrant, which could result in jail, according to TMZ.

Although Tyga hasn’t paid off the large judgement, he has been flexing his finances in public. Recently, he purchased a $200,000 Maybach for his girlfriend Kylie Jenner’s 19th birthday, which the landlord believes is “a fraudulent transfer of assets that should go to satisfy the judgement.”

The former landlord is said to have evicted T-Raww from his Malibu home, which he apparently left “in shambles.” Since then, he moved into another mansion in Bel-Air, which he is reportedly renting for a whopping $46,000 a month.

BOOTS Teases New Beyoncé Collaboration

The BeyHive is buzzing with talks of a new Beyoncé song.

Singer-producer BOOTS posted a since-deleted snippet (via Billboard) of what fans are calling a new Queen Bey track on his Instagram story and now speculation is running rampant.

Although the video is no longer available, fans have been looking for clues of the possible collab in different places. Some have even wondered if this might be an image of BOOTS and Mrs. Carter FaceTiming:

The speculative talks don’t end there. Other have also pointed out that BOOTS recently tweeted a “throwback to BEYONCÉ release party.”

If they did collaborate, it wouldn’t be the first time. After all, ‘Yoncé also worked on “Dreams” off BOOTS’ 2014 mixtape WinterSpringSummerFall and he co-wrote and produced “Haunted,” “Heaven,” and “Blue” for 2013’s Beyoncé and “6 Inch” off LEMONADE.

Drake Takes Shots at Hot 97, Calls Last NYC Tour Stop "The Real Summer Jam"

Drake completed his New York City takeover on Monday night [August 8], closing his final Summer Sixteen installment at Madison Square Garden with appearances by Fat Joe and Remy Ma, Cam’ron and Juelz Santana, and friendly rival J. Cole. He even made time to pop bottles with one of his biggest trolls, leaving evidence behind that he’d share a laugh with Power 105.1 host Charlamagne Tha God before leaving town. But as one might have expected with the unraveling of longstanding tensions between him and veteran DJ Funkmaster Flex over the past few days, there was no love for the radio station that helped build Hip Hop from its birthplace before bringing it to the world. In fact, the Toronto rapper seemed to plant his flag and stake claim over rap’s mecca.

“This was the real Summer Jam,” Drake told the sold out crowd while giving his thank-yous and goodbyes. “What have they done for New York lately? I don’t know, but this is the real Summer Jam right here.”

He didn’t need to name Hot 97 for the world to know that’s who the jab was aimed it. Drake opened his four-night leg of the tour with a freestyle that set the blogs off, with bars that set the table for a long weekend quarrel when he suggested that he’ll be refraining from performing under the station’s promotion until they fire Flex. The shots came days after the senior DJ’s colleague Ebro Darden joked about the 6 god inviting a battle with rap god Eminem. Flex immediately put those following the situation on notice, tweeting that he’d be dedicating a segment of his Saturday show to addressing Drake. Flex would go on to give his story on how his beef with Drake began. Drawing back to his instigation of his tiff with Meek Mill last summer, and digging deeper into rumors of Drake’s work with ghostwriters as he referenced back to Drizzy’s first ever freestyle with the station, in which he read rhymes [which Flex alleged were not his], off of a Blackberry. Drake wouldn’t allow one day to transition to the next without getting back at the DJ, insinuating [without saying names] that Flex is out of touch and irrelevant, during an after party at Space Ibiza.

Drake’s allusion to Summer Jam and dismissal of Hot 97’s recent contributions to the music set off yet another social media frenzy but leaves questions unanswered for some industry stakeholders who’ve been pulling closer to the edge of their seats since Thursday. While basking in the suspense of the turn of events, Ebro wondered aloud about exactly what might be at the root of Drake’s animosity, during Friday’s show. “Sometimes I don’t even know how to enjoy life without moments like this,” he said. “What is this really about with Drake? Is this really about the fact that I said we was joking about him making comments about Eminem? You think that’s what this is really about? Or is this about Flex? Or is this about all of it?” With the multitude of cameos from some of the city’s biggest names and overt gestures of unity with Hot 97’s rival station, Drake seems to be implying that Hot 97’s Flex problem, is his Hot 97 problem.

Drake & Charlamagne Reportedly Squash Beef, Take a Photo

Drake and Charlemagne Tha God have apparently squashed their alleged beef.

The two were spotted in New York City last night [August 9] on Drake’s Instagram, popping bottles and smiling together. “Pretty much sums it up @cthagod NEW YORK NIGHT FOUR THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO CAME OUT” is what the caption reads under Drake’s IG post. Drake has been going back and forth with Funkmaster Flex in recent weeks, and seeing as Charlemagne, is also a rival of Flex, this could be a good ally for Drake in his battle with the Hot 97 legend.

Drake and Charlemagne have never had any serious beef. Their problems stemmed from the radio host mocking the rapper and his career as an on-air personality. Their relationship started to change last year after Drake sent him bottles of champagne when he dropped the Meek Mill diss “Back to Back.”
