Rae Sremmurd Drops 3 New Singles

Rae Sremmurd is back with not one, but three new singles off their upcoming third album SR3MM. The trio of Mike WiLL Made It-produced tracks includes Swae Lee’s solo single “Hurt to Look,” Slim Jxmmi’s “Brxnks Truck,” and the Rae Sremmurd joint single “Powerglide.”

On “Hurt to Look,” Swae Lee showcases his hypnotic melodies over a lush beat, while Jxmmi turns up on the super-charged “Brxnks Truck.”

The Tupelo brothers join forces on “Powerglide,” which features the best of both their worlds. Swae provides the sing-song chorus, while Jxmmi unleashes a fiery flow over a sample of Three 6 Mafia’s “Side 2 Side.”

They are now gearing up to drop their triple album SR3MM, consisting of a solo album from Swae Lee called Swaecation, Slim Jxmmi’s solo project Jxmtroduction, and an album from Rae Sremmurd.

New Music: Future – ‘I.C.W.N.T.’

Future isn’t thinking about wedding bells.

After teaming with Tinashe (“Faded Love”) and Kendrick Lamar (“King’s Dead”), Hndrxx surprises fans with a brand new song called “I.C.W.N.T. (“I Can’t Wife No Thot”).

“These bitches ain’t shit, we fuck them together,” he raps over the booming instrumental. “I change up my hoes like I change up the weather / I can’t wife no thot.”

Later, Pluto gets even more explicit with lyrics about oral sex and more. “Pussy good and her throat deep, suck so long, made her nose bleed,” he raps. “I can’t wife no thot / Suck my dick ’til she see snot.”

“I.C.W.N.T.” landed as a surprise release and it’s unclear where it will end up. The Atlanta rapper hasn’t released a solo project since last year’s double dose of Future and Hndrxx. In 2017, he also teamed up with Young Thug on their joint project Super Slimey.

SZA Covers The FADER, Says She ‘Didn’t Even F**k’ with ‘Ctrl’

SZA shines on two covers of The FADER‘s Spring 2018 Earth Issue.

Photographed by Cara Stricker, the TDE songstress is standing in a dark and neon room on one cover, while laying down in a yoga position with a pastel-colored background on another.

Inside the magazine, Solana Rowe discusses the public’s perception about her debut album Ctrl and how much it differed from her own taste.

“I’m thankful that people don’t think it sucks, but I’m gonna have to achieve a 10 in my brain,” she explained. “I didn’t even fuck with my own album, so I was so confused and almost, like, angry that everyone fucked with it so much…It meant everything I felt about myself was wrong. And it was just like, ‘If that’s not the truth, then what is the truth?’”

Although she might not have believed that her four-years-in-the-making LP was a “10,” Donald Glover offered encouragement. “I think when ‘Love Galore’ went platinum, Donald [Glover] texted me like, ‘Do you still think it sucks?’ And I was like, ‘I dunno,’” she added.

Earlier today, it was reported that SZA was unhappy with the Grammys. In an interview with GQ, she admitted that she was “mad as hell” after not winning any of the five Grammys that she was nominated for.

“I’m not as mad as I thought I would be,” she said. “I didn’t have any expectations, actually. That’s why I wasn’t super upset.” She goes on to call her performance at the show “random” and says that the ceremony was “chill.” She adds: “Perhaps folks place too much importance on the entire situation in general … and place too much importance on the institution.”

Finally, when asked if she will drop a new album this year, she laughs it off before saying she can “do that shit in six months.” Later in the article, however, she isn’t so certain. “I’m not sure. I have no idea, actually,” she said, “I have no idea.”

SZA is set to co-headline TDE’s “The Championship Tour” with Kendrick Lamar, starting May 4 in Vancouver.

New Music: A$AP Ferg feat. Denzel Curry, IDK, & Nicknack – ‘Kristi YamaGucci’

A$AP Ferg gets ready for the “Mad Man Tour” with Denzel Curry and IDK by releasing their collaboration “Kristi YamaGucci.”

While the title references Gucci, the Hood Pope brags about other brands on his verse, which acts as a letter to A$AP Yams. “I’m a Calvin Klein model on billboards,” he boasts. “I did a campaign with the fellas / adidas done gave me another deal / And Hennessy too, they got cheddar.”

Curry joins the Frankie P-produced track with a verse about why he doesn’t want to be confused with the actor, Mr. Washington. “Even though my name is Denzel, no actin’,” he raps. “Pap-pap, putting everything inside a casket / Track that, everything is gonna be a classic.”

Finally, IDK closes things out with a punchline-filled vow to keep going. “I’m getting buzz, but I never let up,” he raps. “I ain’t seen a doctor, but I got my check up / I’m playing chess, you stuck on checkers / That’s why your gang could never check us.”

The “Mad Man Tour” kicks off tonight (Feb. 28) in Philadelphia before going across North America through April 14 in New York.
