G-Eazy and Halsey turn into Bonnie and Clyde. Before unpacking The Beautiful & Damned, Young Gerald unleashes “Him & I” featuring his real-life girlfriend.
The romantic anthem finds Halsey on the soaring chorus, with her sultry vocals over the pulsating beat. “In the end, it’s him and I,” she sings. “He’s out his head, I’m out my mind / We got that love, the crazy kind.” Adding to the song’s outlaw couple theme, Gerald adds: “They don’t want to see us make it / They’d rather divide the 2017 Bonnie and Clyde.”
Over the summer, G and Halsey debuted the song with an intimate performance. “I’ve wanted to work with Halsey for a long time,” said Gerald. “I think she’s an incredibly talented artist who has accomplished so much at such a young age. She’s one of the biggest artists in the whole world. At 22 years old, that’s pretty phenomenal. ‘Him & I’ is a Bonnie and Clyde song. It’s a pretty intense, crazy in love song. She killed the record. She sounds phenomenal on it. I’m excited to share that experience onstage with her live one on one because she’s a great performer.”
By October, he would reveal that their chemistry was real. “It clicked,” he said. “I don’t know. I was hella happy and I think that’s everything. Not to be super corny and sentimental, but deadass, I was just hella happy and we clicked really well. As artists, it’s tough to fully understand the world we live in…So, being able to relate and talk like that just as friends too…That feeling inspires you creatively.”

Pop pop, it’s showtime! In the midst of his “24K Magic World Tour,” Bruno Mars brought some “24K Magic” to living rooms across the nation as part of his CBS primetime special, which aired from the Apollo Theater.
The one-night only extravaganza opened up with a ride through Harlem. As if he needed to promote the event, Mars went door to door with flyers. “Everywhere you go,” he said. “You can feel it. The city’s singing.”
After stopping at hair salons, street corners, and stoops, Mars delivered a show-stopping performance of “24K Magic” on top of the world famous Apollo marquee. Magic was in the air inside of the Apollo too, as Mars and the Hooligans launched into an electrifying set that included “Finesse,” “Perm,” “Chunky,” and “Calling All My Lovelies.”
In anticipation of the show, Mars spoke with CBS about how he crafts his music for the live experience. “That’s my cheat code,” he said. “I think about, ‘Man, I have to perform songs every single night or every other night, I have to write songs that I’ll genuinely have fun performing,’ so half the battle is won. I’m hoping that the audience will see that and it will be contagious and infectious.”

More Women Accuse Matt Lauer of Sexual Assault
The Rockefeller Center tree lighting took place last night, and the show went on without Matt Lauer. Lester Holt showed up instead.
After Matt was fired yesterday, more women came forward, and the accusations are outrageous. Matt allegedly gave one woman a sex toy as a present, including a note on how he wanted to use it on her. He allegedly showed his privates to a female he summoned to his office. When she declined, he reportedly reprimanded her. Apparently, it was common for Matt to invite staff to his hotel rooms.
Speaking of summoning, a former producer was reportedly summoned to Matt’s office one day. He allegedly locked the door with a button under his desk, told her to unbutton her blouse, he pulled down her pants, bent her over a chair, and had sex with her. The woman claims she passed out and woke up on floor. Matt’s assistant brought her to a nurse. The producer blamed herself for what happened, and left the network a year later.
Matt issued an apology this morning. “Some of what is being said about me is untrue or mischaracterized, but there is enough truth in these stories to make me feel embarrassed and ashamed. Repairing the damage will take a lot of time and soul searching and I’m committed to beginning that effort.”
Last night, an old video surfaced of Matt being inappropriate with Meredith Viera. Meredith was getting mic’d up and grabbing scripts. Matt glances over at her and is heard telling Meredith, “Pretty sweater. Keep bending over like that. It’s a nice view.”

Top Dawg Entertainment’s SiR pulls up in “Something Foreign” with his labelmate ScHoolboy Q riding shotgun.
Over gloomy piano keys that provide a haunting backdrop, Inglewood SiR’s soulful vocals unfold with a call for individuality and humility. “Trying to keep it humble in a world full of egos, gangstas, and evil,” he sings. “Player in the game, but I’m making my own rules and I’m pulling up in something foreign.”
With a melodic flow and raunchy lyrics, Groovy Tony adds his take to the stirring track. “Fuck you good,” he raps with a harmonious tone. “I fuck you good, I know / Stamp your book ’til nowhere else to go / Foreign place, a foreign whip to drive.”
As if that wasn’t enough, SiR also releases the jazzy Etta Bond-assisted “Something New.” With trippy horns over head-knocking drums, the song allows TDE’s rising star to flex his soothing vocals. “If everything else falls apart,” he sings. “I still have you / If I can find my way back home, we’ll make something new.”
Up next, SiR is joining Miguel on “The War & Leisure Tour,” which is set to kick off Feb. 22 in Portland.
